Victim Advocacy Program

Community Health Service Inc. (CHSI) Battered Women’s Program & Sexual Assault Intervention Project provide bilingual victim advocacy services to women, children, and men who have been affected by domestic and sexual violence.

Advocacy services may include shelter/relocation assistance, supportive services, and referrals to community organizations. CHSI advocates assist with Order for Protection, court advocacy and coordinate with legal systems.

Please welcome our newest CHSI employee, Will Pearson. Will was hired as a Domestic Violence Therapist and will work with our Battered Women’s Program. He will be housed both in Moorhead and Crookston.

Will has his Bachelors in Spanish and Hispanic Studies from Earlham College and a Masters in Human Development and Family Science from North Dakota State University.

He is licensed in North Dakota as a Licensed Associate Marriage Family Therapist (LAMFT), and in the process of becoming licensed in MN too.

Most recently, he was a Child and Adolescent Therapist at Prairie St. Johns in Fargo, ND. He’s also worked in the past, as a Law Clerk and Paralegal, in San Francisco, with Immigration and Nationality Law. Additionally, Will is bilingual in Spanish.

We are incredibly grateful to have Will join our team with his background in Immigration law,  licensure as a LAMFT, and Spanish speaking ability.
