Kristi Halvarson, MHA, is Executive Director at Community Health Service Inc. (CHSI). Kristi has been with the organization in various capacities since 2005, assuming the Executive Director position in late 2012. Kristi earned her Master in Health Administration degree from Des Moines University and her undergraduate degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead, majoring in Biology and Spanish. She was honored as MSUM’s Outstanding Young Alumni in 2014. She also actively serves on the Boards of several state and regional healthcare organizations. Dr. Stephanie Low
Dr. Stephanie Low is a Family Medicine Physician and the Medical Director at Community Health Service Inc. She oversees the medical staff and manages the clinical operations for their four clinical sites and two mobile units. Dr. Low hails from the “Windy City” where she completed her medical degree at Loyola University Chicago, and her Family Medicine Residency at West Suburban Medical Center. She finished her training with a fourth year Chief Residency and Faculty development program. After finishing her residency, her husband Chris, who was wooed into medicine by the countless hours of stress and sleepless nights he witnessed his wife endure, matched into ENT residency at the Mayo Clinic, landing them in the even windier Rochester, MN. Since moving to Rochester, they have welcomed two sons into their lives and enjoy spending their days as compassionate physicians and their nights chasing around their busy and joyful toddlers. Jeff Anderson is Community Health Service Inc.’s Operations Director he is responsible for overseeing all operations for the organization. Jeff has been with CHSI since January 2020 and has over 20 years community health center program knowledge including extensive leadership and health center operations experience. Before joining CHSI, Jeff was COO at a health center in the Florida panhandle. In addition he has held positions with the National Association of Community Health Centers and Medical Group Management Association. Jeff earned a Masters degree with Certification in Healthcare Management from the University of Mary, Bismarck, ND. A under graduate degree in Business Administration from North Dakota State University. Holds CCS-P coding credential through AHIMA. Jeff and his wife Cathy live in south Moorhead. Tylah Wildey, better known as “Ty”, began her career at Community Health Service Inc. (CHSI) in 2011 as a patient care Registered Nurse. Within a year, she was promoted and accepted a position as the clinic supervisor for the Grafton, ND location. Her qualities as a leader landed her a new position as CHSI’s Director of Quality Improvement in 2013. She began her career as an RN in 2010 after graduating and receiving an Associate of Science degree in Nursing from Northland Community & Technical College and later receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Bemidji State University. Brian Harmsen is currently the Finance Director for Community Health Service Inc. Brian oversees all accounting functions in the Moorhead Office as well as the organization as a whole and performs other accounting and financial duties as assigned. Brian has been with CHSI since April 29th, 2019. Before joining CHSI he had worked for 27 years at various non-profit organizations: State of South Dakota, South Dakota State University, United Way of Cass-Clay and The Village Family Service Center. He obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Dickinson State University. Intervention Director for the Victim Advocacy Programs
Maria Garcia is the Intervention Director for the Victim Advocacy Programs located in Moorhead and Crookston, MN at Community Health Service (CHSI). Advocacy programs provide crisis assistance to survivors of domestic and sexual violence for the farm working and primarily underserved populations. Maria has been with CHSI for 30 years. Maria has a BA degree in Political Science and is fluent in Spanish. Originally from Texas, and a former migrant farm worker, Maria and her family traveled to the Red River Valley to work the sugar beet fields. For over 40 years Minnesota has been her home. Dominic Goodman is the Human Resource Director for Community Health Service Inc. (CHSI), where he administers all HR duties for the organization. Dominic has a triple Bachelors of Science degree in Human Resource Management, Accounting, and Business Management from Dickinson State University, and is currently pursuing his Master in Healthcare Administration at Purdue University Global. Dominic joined (CHSI) in June of 2019. Before joining CHSI, he worked in the hotel industry for over 10 years and has held positions such as Regional Director of Operations, Regional Human Resource Director, and General Manager. Dominic is from Nassau, Bahamas and offers both national and international knowledge and experience to the organization. He has worked with reputable organizations such as Wyndham, Sheraton, Choice Hotels, Best Western, My Place Hotels, and the Bahamian Government.
