CHSI Victim Advocacy Program
The Victim Advocacy Program at Community Health Service Inc. provides crisis intervention and supportive services to women, children, and men who have been affected by domestic and sexual violence. These services include orders for protection, safety plans, safe housing and relocation assistance, coordination with legal systems, supportive listening, behavioral health services (including therapy), victim advocacy, and more.
CHSI provides services to all who need them and retains both digital video interpretation services and bilingual intervention advocates.
All victim advocacy services are confidential and free of charge.

Lucia Sanchez
Intervention Director
Moorhead Office
Lucia Sanchez joined CHSI in May of 2000 as a Bilingual Intervention Advocate, providing crisis assistance to survivors of domestic and sexual violence in our community. Since 2022, she has served as the Intervention Director of our Victim Advocacy Program. Lucia is a member of the Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Violence Free Minnesota. She is also an ordained minister who has volunteered as an interim pastor and Sunday School teacher at her local church in Moorhead. She spends her free time with her children and grandchildren, and she is passionate about thrifting and flea markets!
Lucia enjoys working with a passionate and dedicated team working to provide quality care, promote safety, and eliminate violence in our communities.

Anna Corona
Intervention Supervisor
Crookston Office
Anna Corona is the Intervention Supervisor at CHSI's Crookston office. She brings years of experience as a bilingual advocate to the Victim Advocacy Program, and previously worked with Polk County Public Health. She earned an associate degree in business management from Palo Alto College in San Antonio. Anna lives in Crookston with her husband of 38 years and their son. She enjoys cooking, hiking, traveling, camping, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Anna appreciates her team at CHSI and enjoys seeing her clients settled and safe.

Cynthia Silva
Bilingual Intervention Advocate
Moorhead Office
Cynthia Silva is a Bilingual Intervention Advocate in CHSI's Moorhead office. She joined the Victim Advocacy Program here in 2016. Cynthia studied office administration at Minnesota State University Moorhead and worked as a supervisor for many years at KFC. She enjoys movies, her sister's cooking, and spending time with her family, including her daughter and two grandchildren.

Alexis Abraham
Intervention Advocate
Crookston Office
Alexis Abraham is an Intervention Advocate based in CHSI's Crookston office. She joined the Victim Advocacy Program in 2023 and brings several years of healthcare experience to the position. She grew up in Twin Valley and currently lives in the Crookston area with her dog. She enjoys spending her free time with family and friends and playing outside with her dog.

Virginia Baker
Intervention Advocate
Moorhead
Virginia Baker is an Intervention Advocate based in CHSI's Moorhead office. Virginia grew up on the White Earth Reservation in western Minnesota and moved to Moorhead in 2023. As an advocate in CHSI's Victim Advocacy Program, she helps victims of domestic and sexual violence access counseling, safe and secure housing, and other legal and community resources. In her free time, Virginia enjoys tending to her vast plant collection and hiking in state parks.
Virginia enjoys her work at CHSI because she is able to help community members every day.
